Energy Efficiency

Timline windows meet or exceed the Department of Energy's ENERGY STAR standards. That energy-efficient performance can mean substantial savings on your heating and cooling bills.

ENERGY STAR, windows are twice as efficient as the average windows manufactured just ten years ago. And money isn't all you're saving by purchasing products that use less energy - you're also helping to save the environment.

Low-E Coating

Trimline windows are manufactured with 0.5" double strength glass using AFG Industries Comfort Ti-R Low-E glass coatings.

Benefits:

  • Year round energy savings - In the winter, Comfort Ti-R reflects heat back into the room, and solar energy easily enters through the glass, warming your home. In the summer, Comfort E2 stops as much as 65 percent of re-radiated solar heat from entering your home.
  • Reduces heat transfer and UV rays that can fade carpets, walls and furniture.
  • Reduces condensation by keeping glass warmer, which in turn, fights deterioration, mold, and stains on window casings.
  • Provides unparalleled color neutrality and high visible - light transmission - enabling you to see clearly, whether you are looking from the inside out or the outside in.
Construction

Solid-wood construction offers outstanding insulating qualities-in fact, wood provides 1,100 times the insulating value of aluminum.

Health Benefits

Super Spacer technology dramatically reduces the amount of window condensation, which contributes to mold growth, whose occurrence is more and more being linked to child asthma, respiratory illness, allergies and outbreaks of fungal diseases.

Super Spacer & Warm Edge Technology

Today more than ever, homeowners are replacing their old worn out windows with energy efficient replacement windows. Poorly insulated windows can attribute up to 25% of a building's heating and cooling loads.

In order to overcome the thermal inefficiency of conventional aluminum spacers, a new type of spacer product has evolved in the industry called 'warm-edge technology.' Warm-edge refers to the type of spacer material used to separate the panes of glass (or glazing) in an insulated window unit.

The world's warmest edge occurs with Super Spacer, an insulating foam spacer whose use allows for comfortable humidity levels and the least likelihood of condensation, mold and other problems.
